Killers of children can't hide, says Soomro

KARACHI, March 23: The governor of Sindh, Mohammad Mian Soomro, visited the PECHS residence of Additional Session Judge Rashida Asad and offered his condolences to her and her husband on the death of their two children.
According to a press release issued here on Friday, the governor said the entire government of Sindh and citizens were saddened due to loss of lives of two innocent children and informed them that taking lesson from this unfortunate incident the government would try to remove deficiency from the rank and file of the Police Department.
Protection of life and property of citizens was the government's top priority and delinquent staff would not be spared, he remarked and added that an impartial and transparent inquiry of the incident would be conducted and necessary action would be taken accordingly.
The governor emphasized that no area could be termed "no-go-area" and that absconding culprits would be brought to book no matter where they were hiding. He instructed the commissioner of Karachi to provide protection to the family of Judge Rashida Asad and keep close liaison with them.
On his way back, the governor also talked to the area residents and instructed the police and district administration officials to make security system in the area fool proof in consultation of area residents.
The governor was accompanied by Chief Secretary Jaded Ashraf Hussein, the IGP, Sindh, Aftab Nabi, DIG Karachi Tariff Jamil, Commissioner Karachi Shafiqur Rehman Paracha, DC Karachi District East, SSP Ghulam Nabi Memon.-PPI
