Three FIRs
registered for killing of judge's children

KARACHI: The
Ferozabad police on Tuesday registered three FIRs against
policemen and robbers, named in the killing of two children of
a judge on Monday, police said. The police lodged the first
FIR 129/2001 on the report of injured Assistant Sub Inspector
(ASI) Ghulam Sarwar under section 335/34 PPC and 7/324 Anti
Terrorism Court.
Second FIR 130/2001 was registered on the request of Muhammad
Asad advocate, the father of the two children Aliza and Ozam,
under section, 319/34, PPC, 173, 392/457, 365 and 7B Anti
Terrorism Court against policemen and robbers Muhammad Hussain,
who was wounded and arrested, and his two accomplices Joshi
and Zakir who made their escape.
The third FIR 131/2001 was registered under section 13/D. The
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of Ferozabad told

policemen, involved in the encounter and nominated in the FIR
130/2001, have so far been arrested or detained.
He also said that a police party conducted raids at several
places including Sharifabad, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Moosa Colony,
Machchar Colony, Lines Area, Landhi and other places to arrest
the two robbers who fled from the scene after the encounter.
It may be recalled that three robbers had barged into the
residence of Additional District and Sessions Judge, West, Ms
Rashida Asad on Monday and made the ADSJ, her husband and her
two children hostage to make their safe escape. A shoot-out
took place in which the two children of the lady judge were
killed. Meanwhile, Sindh Bar Council members Naheed Afzal
Khan, Yameen Azad and Sathi Ishaq Advocates have demanded of
the Sindh government to arrest policemen involved in the
killing of lady judge's children.
According to Mirza Asad, no policeman was injured during the
shoot-out and both of his children were by bullets of police.
He said his elder daughter, standing outside the car, shouted:
"Donot fire. My father, mother, sister and brother are
inside the car." Police did not listen to her request and
opened fire, Asad said. |
